Appointment of a Parish Priest for the Parish of Benalla

The Bishop of Wangaratta is pleased to announce the appointment of The Rt Revd Dino Gabriel to serve as the next Priest In Charge for the Parish of Benalla. This appointment is for an initial period of two years in accordance with the visa regulations of the Department of Border Protection and Immigration. 
Bishop Dino is Italian born and trained as a Roman Catholic Priest who later moved to South Africa. Following a few years, he joined the Anglican Church. He served as Dean of Zululand and then Bishop of Zululand in South Africa. This was followed by a few years as Bishop of Natal until an early retirement. 
Bishop Dino is married but his wife will only join him for a few weeks next year June. He is 66 years of age and is highly gifted in liturgy and pastoral ministry. 
Please pray for Dino as he joins the Parish next week.
